Cleveland-Based Associations

Education Organizations

Learn how the following organizations are working with Cleveland-area educational institutions to help develop a well-educated workforce in Cleveland.

College 360
Cleveland has a history of co-operation between business and education in the area. To continue that strong cooperation City Club Forum has created College 360. College 360 is a four-year, $5 million initiative designed to attract and keep Northeast Ohio's future business and civic leaders in the community. This initiative is done through three stages: promoting enrollment in Northeast Ohio institutions, engage college students in communities throughout the region during the period of their study and finally, linking graduates with area employees.

NOCHE
The Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education is the representative body and service organization for the 25 universities and colleges in a 13-county region. NOCHE's core objectives include:

  • serving as the recognized advocate for, and preferred information source about, higher education in northeast Ohio;
  • helping member institutions leverage their distinctive intellectual assets in partnership with key employers to build workforce capacity and enhance regional economic development;
  • developing and implementing projects that provide service to member institutions in areas such as professional development, community outreach and the collection and analysis of data and information on regional trends in higher education;
  • helping facilitate research funding and technology transfer within northeast Ohio.

Cleveland Leadership Center
The new organization combines the pioneering efforts of Leadership Cleveland, one of the original leadership development programs in the country; leverages the energy of Cleveland Bridge Builders, an organization that identifies, trains and channels emerging community leaders; incorporates the connections that occur as (i)Cleveland brings together Northeast Ohio businesses and college students for job opportunities that will keep graduates here; and provide the "window to the world" opprtunities for young high school students who get personal, first-hand experience learning about the way their community operates through Look Up To Cleveland.
