Cleveland Plus Events Calendar

For over four decades artist Al Bright has explored the realm of abstract expressionism. Creating many of his works before public audiences to live music singles him out as a leading post-modern master. Al Bright will paint alongside the Jesse Dandy Band during February's Sunday Sampler to begin the museum's 90th anniversary celebration. This event is FREE to the public.

Looking for a night on the town, 1920s style? The Case Western Reserve University Swing Club is hosting three of the best swing bands in the country as part of their annual event: SparX (pronounced "sparks"). The Cleveland Institute of Art is hosting "3 in 1: An Exhibition of Three Endeavors by the Printmaking Department" and will feature three sets of printmaking work. One-of-a-kind prints made from former Cleveland Indians shortstop Omar Vizquel, artist Curtis Mitchell and artist Greg Nanney will be on sale. Glassblowing with Bob Pozarski -Glassblowing classes are not offered during the warmer months. Add your name to the glassblowing list for class updates! Project Mah Jongg is the first exhibition of its kind-taking visitors on an exploration of the game's cultural meanings through sight, sound, text, and play.
